From 9 to 21 March 2026, members of the project team (Jacqueline Balen, Jasna Vuković, Mia Marijan, Ivana Dimitrijević, and Ina Miloglav) conducted a research visit to Slavonski Brod and Vinkovci, where they examined and sampled ceramic material from the sites of Glogovica–Medvođe (Retz-Gajary culture) and Ervenica and tell Tržnica (Vučedol culture). At the same time, archaeozoological analysis of animal bones from the sites of Ervenica, Glogovica–Medvođe, and Prisunjača was carried out.
A total of 98 boxes of archaeological material were examined, and ceramic samples were selected for lipid, starch, and phytolith analyses, use-wear analysis, and technological analyses (XRF, XRD, and optical microscopy), as well as animal bone samples for radiocarbon dating and stable isotope analysis.
The successful implementation of these activities was made possible through collaboration with colleagues from the Museum of Brodsko Posavlje and the City Museum Vinkovci, who provided organisation and preparation of the material.
