From 8 to 25 September 2025, archaeological excavations were carried out at the Prisunjača site in Vođinci. Almost completely uncovered was a structure measuring 8.00 × 5.00 m, which consisted of two rooms. According to the results obtained so far, the building was not residential but served as a storage facility or as a space for specialized activities, such as storing and preparing food.
Inside the structure, a domed oven was discovered, next to which a large quantity of cereals was found, as well as a cellar/pantry containing a considerable amount of fish bones. The entrance to the building was located on the northern side, as indicated by a preserved threshold with remains of a wooden beam in situ. In front of the building there was a covered porch.
During last year’s excavations, 25 complete vessels were discovered in the house, placed on a wooden shelf. The investigation of this structure, with all inventory preserved in situ and exceptionally well-preserved organic remains of cereals and fish, will provide data that will enable us to reconstruct certain activities within the settlement and inside the building itself.
